Crop sensor cameras are compared in size to “full frame” 35 mm sensors, or to be exact, 36×24 mm.
- APS-C is 1.5x [[crop factor]] to full frame, or 24×16 mm, and is based on the Advanced Photo System “Classic” film size.
	- Canon APS-C, for example the 80D and M100, is usually 1.6x crop
	- APS-C is sometimes generically called the “crop sensor” as it is the first commercially successful variant sensor to come to market
- Micro Four Thirds is 2x crop, or 17×13 mm.
