# Organizational Roles   
   
Organizational Roles, Org Roles, or just Roles (`ORG` [file](../../notes/Colleague/Files%20%26%20Tables.md)) are like security classes, but for Self Service and some other newer Colleague products, and are managed through **AROR**. They are applied to [Resources](../../notes/Colleague/Registry%20%26%20Resources.md) specifically and do not require an [Operator](../../notes/Colleague/Operators%20file.md) record.

- **ORGR**: Create and modify Roles   
- **MNPD**: View and edit permission definitions   
- **MRPR**: Assign/unassign permissions on Roles   
- **AROR**: Assign/unassign Roles on Resources   
- **BURA**: Batch update of Roles on Resources
